Adjustment of the price of an extra seat and the rules for transporting unaccompanied children.

Adjustment of the price of an extra seat and the rules for transporting unaccompanied children.

After a trial run, we are adjusting the prices of some services and rules to make them clearer and make more sense to everyone involved. The changes mainly concern the additional service of buying an extra seat and, for the most part, the rules for transporting unaccompanied children.

Extra seat - uniform price for all destinations
As of 22 May 2023, we have changed the price of the extra seat for those of you who want a guarantee of more space. The price of the extra seat will now be uniform for all routes at 1100CZK, 51CHF or 51EUR. For travel from Bregenz there is a slight increase, but on the other hand for travel from Bern there is a significant price reduction.

Carriage of unaccompanied children - new clearer rules
We know that the holidays are fast approaching. That's why we are now amending the rules for the carriage of unaccompanied children. We have divided the category into 2 levels.

1) Children up to 12 years old, where the following rules apply:

a) The legal guardian of a child under 18 is required to inform us in advance.
b) The person under 12 years old must have valid travel documents (passport or ID card).
c) Unless otherwise individually arranged with the carrier, a person under the age of 12 must be accompanied to the departure point and must be met at the destination station by a pick-up person at least 20 minutes before their scheduled arrival.
d) A valid telephone number of the person who will accompany the child to the departure must always be provided with the reservation.
e) The accompanying person under 12 years of age must give the driver a power of attorney (downloadable here) at check-in, including valid contact details.
f) A person under the age of 12 will be seated at the front of the bus under the constant supervision of security cameras.
g) When transporting a person under 12 years of age, there is an obligation to reserve a second seat so that the child sits alone. The price of the extra seat is charged according to the tariff 1100CZK/51CHF/51EUR. In case of more than one child, this fee is charged only once.

2) In the case of children aged 13 to 18 who are already paying adult fares, the following rules now apply:

a) The legal guardian of a child under 18 years of age is obliged to inform us in advance.
b) A person under 18 years of age must have valid travel documents (passport or ID card).
c) Unless otherwise agreed individually with the carrier, a person under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the departure point and must be met at the destination station by a pick-up person at least 20 minutes before their scheduled arrival.
d) A valid telephone number of the person who will accompany the child to the departure must always be provided with the reservation.
e) A person under the age of 18 must give the driver a power of attorney (downloadable here) at check-in, including valid contact details.
